The Wisconsin Association of School Councils, Inc. is deeply committed to the continuation and expansion of leadership development and student responsibilities in schools and to assisting school councils in meeting these commitments.

WASC GOVERNING STRUCTURE
The State is divided into six Regions
Each Region, at a Spring Business Meeting elects the following officers:
*Senior High School (SHS) President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Advisor
*Junior High/Middle School (JAM) President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Advisor
*The Regional Executive Committee is made up of the officers and advisors. In addition to being responsible for all regional activities, the Presidents and Advisors represent the region on the State Governing Board and the Vice-President and Secretaries represent the region on the State Projects and Resolution Committee (SPARC).
The State Governing Board has
*24 members, four from each region, additionally, the Executive and Associate Directors who are non-voting members.
*The Governing Board elects a SHS & JAM State President and Vice President, SHS & JAM Coordinator (advisors).
*The officers and Executive & Associate Directors make up the Executive Committee, which meets between Governing Board meetings.
*Governing Board meets in May, September, December, and February.
