The WASC is governed by 12 students and 12 council advisors who are elected to leadership positions by representatives from member schools in the six regions of our state. Those 24 individuals, along with their chosen Executive Director, make up the Governing Body called the WASC Governing Board which meets at least four times a year.

This group then selects six individuals, four students and two adults, to serve on the WASC Executive Committee, as state officers.
