About the WASC

The WASC is dedicated to providing student leadership training, facilitating communications between members, providing advice and guidance for councils and their advisors, assisting in the formation of new councils, and encouraging and promoting regional programs. We are depending on your involvement to achieve these goals and to make this year absolutely amazing.

The WASC is widely considered one of the strongest leadership organizations in the country. In fact, we were the first state association formed, over 75 years ago. We have built our programs based on decades of experiences and are confident we have created some of the best programs in the Nation.

Your Role

Our organization succeeds due the contribution of our members. We encourage all new schools and/or new advisors to attend our free New Member Workshop on October 16 at our Fall Leadership Institute. This workshop was designed to introduce you to our organization and connect you with your colleagues from across the state.

We have structured our organization so there are opportunities available at the local, regional, state & national levels. To support our mission, we have divided the state into six regions; and each region is run by elected students and advisors. We urge representatives from your school to attend regional meetings and to become involved in the state sponsored activities.

Finally, we are here to help. If you have any questions, or are not receiving emails or other communications from the WASC on a monthly basis, please contact our office at stateoffice@wasc.org for assistance. We are available to you M-F from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Thank you again for joining WASC. We sincerely hope your membership experience will be very worthwhile to your school, your students, and your community.
